Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA)

The Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) is a professional association representing over 3,300 veterinarians in the Province of Ontario, working in private practice, government, academia, industry and public service. The OVMA focuses its efforts on the areas of economic research, continuing education and professional development, public relations and government relations.

OVC Health Science Centre

The OVC HSC carries a tradition of 150 years of servicing beloved animals.  Their team of experts carries expertise in areas such as animal cancer, equine sports medicine and reproduction, avian and exotic medicine service, ruminant field services, and emergency critical care.  They are part of the University of Guleph and strive to provide the best possible service to over 16,000 companion animals, equine, farm animal, and exotic species every year.

Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA)

The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) is the national voice for the veterinary profession dedicated to serving and representing the veterinarians of Canada. The Association is committed to excellence within the profession and to the well-being of animals. It promotes public awareness of the contribution of animals and veterinarians to society.

Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)

The OAVT is a professional association with the objectives to advance public awareness of RVTs through legislation, to maintain and develop relations with stakeholder groups, to educate all members on the value and responsibilities of membership, to develop and ensure effective communications both internally and externally, to advance the OAVT governance and operational model, and to ensure that the OAVT remains a financially viable organization capable of achieving its stated goals.

Pet Hospice Journal

Keeping a Pet Hospice Journal, which includes a Quality of Life Scale and a diary, will help pet owners and their veterinarians determine if medical management is needed or when the right time to say goodbye is.
